A. The iPhone 12 Pro was announced on the 13th October 2020 with pre-orders in the UK starting on 16th October and first availability/shipping on the 23rd October.

A. Due to the larger size of the iPhone 12 Pro Max model it has a larger battery and therefore lasts longer in all aspects over the smaller, standard model (thus, it's also slightly heavier). The iPhone 12 Pro Max has better Telephoto lenses over the standard Pro - see details below.

A. The iPhone 12 / 12 mini supports up to 18 5G bands. 5G NR mmWave (Bands n260, n261) are only supported in the USA with USA specific models of iPhone 12 / 12 mini.
Q. Can I turn 5G off to help with battery life?
A. Yes. Go to Settings app > Cellular/Mobile Data > tap on your Data Plan > Voice & Data > choose "5G On", "5G Auto", "LTE" as required. Also, go back to Data Plan > tap Data Mode and choose an option.
Q. How can I tell what type of 5G connection I have?
A. The display will show a 5G, 5G+ or 5Guw connectivity symbol. 5G+ = 5G Higher Frequency. 5Guw = 5G Ultra Wide.

NOTE: Apps can only be re-downloaded unhidden or "updated" via your iOS device - you cannot use iTunes. This is because apps are not actually deleted from your device (only user data and necessary hooks are removed). The signed, secure version of the app remains on your device, just hidden. "Re-downloading" an app doesn't actually involve a download and instead simply "unhides" the app on your device.
† - You can remove hide the Contacts app from an iPhone only. If you remove hide Contacts, you won't lose your contact information. You can still find all of that information in the Phone app.
†† - If you remove hide the Music app, it won’t be available to use with CarPlay.
††† - If you try to remove hide the Watch app from an iPhone that's paired with an Apple Watch, an alert asks you to unpair your Apple Watch before you can remove the app.
